Modern Nomad might look like just one backpack, but it does the job of them all. ABOUT Mo Mo Ngan, Founder and Designer of Elephat. Ngan’s first encounter of a sewing machine dating back to 1999. Since then, he found passion in designing and making bags, especially multi-functional bag. When he was studying at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, Ngan taught himself to make leather product from scratch. He was also keen on examining details, application, and the mix and match of materials, from where he started to build a unique perspective on the structure of everyday bag. After graduation, Ngan founded the Butcher Lab. Alongside with his teaching of leather crafting classes, Ngan has developed a pattern-determined design method, that tackles the constraints of independent designers who could only afford small batch production. He also launched numerous leather products that were loved by many. In 2019, Ngan went back to his passion in everyday bag, and founded Elephat. Developed from a user point of view, products of Elephat are multi-functional that fit the changing needs of modern life.
