We LOVE this question and have tested the cards with multiple printers to make sure they are durable! The latest version of the Root & Seed Conversation Cards have been tested with food smudges, sauce splashes, and water spills... and are remarkably easy to wipe clean without any residue, staining, or smudging. We have even "washed" the cards by rubbing them under running water (seriously!) and the cards stay in great shape. Of course, when left underwater for too long, the edges will start to absorb water and bubble, but they dry remarkably well and can be placed back in the deck because the question prompts and QR codes will still be perfectly legible! These cards are family dinner tested and approved! How can I use the cards in large groups (at family reunions, or in a Facebook Group)? The Deck comes with a set of instruction cards that include suggestions on how to use the cards in larger groups and intimate conversations. We have tested the cards with large groups of people (family, friends, mixed company, even colleagues) and they are excellent when just passing the box around, allowing each person to pick a random card and answer it to the group. The things we learn about each out are just wonderful! For more intentional reminiscing with smaller groups (usually 1-3 family members), we suggest picking a few questions in advance. Have the mobile conversation tool ready to record the conversation and leverage the dig-deeper questions to get a full story. Virtually, the cards are great over Facetime/Zoom calls, and we have seen families create Facebook Groups or WhatsApp Groups to pose a single question each week and allow multiple family members to respond.
